Boreal Books is owned by Mary Beckett and Dave Kaufman, who have lived in Inuvik for more than 25 years. They also own and operate Beckett Business Centre and Polar Bed & Breakfast at the same location, which keeps them and the entire family busy year round. The store features Northern themed books, souvenirs and crafts with a heavy emphasis on the Western Arctic and its history.
